Algonquin Productions will perform the play "National Pastime" in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York on May 7th.
Thomas Cote is directing and the cast includes Jed Dickson, Burt Edwards, Peter Farrell, Charles E. Gerber, Gretchen Hams, Michael Lewis, Tracy Newirth, Joan Pelzer and Randy Schein —all Algonquin members.
We have performed the show twice before in the Baseball Hall of Fame and now we're working toward a deal that would allow the play to run there during the summer.
Rooms for the cast are being provided by one of the local hotels for our May performance, but we still need to raise funds so that we can pay the actors and the director. We would like to secure a financial arrangement with a company or individual benefactor in New York City in return for a co-producing credit for the show.
